PARADE
OF HOMES CHAIR WELCOME
The Iron County Home
Builders Association welcomes you to the 13th annual 2007 Parade of
Homes. This is the time of year when we gather to celebrate and enjoy
the quality, innovation and craftsmanship that is offered by the
industry’s leading home builders. Truly it is a time to work together
“Building Dreams”. We look forward to sharing their work with you and
invite you to be inspired by the effort that has been put into the 2007
Parade of Homes.
We hope you will take the time to visit each of the fourteen unique
homes and appreciate the tremendous work and quality products put into
each location. Take some time to visit with the builders,
subcontractors, decorators and suppliers; this is the perfect
opportunity for you to get your questions answered by Iron County’s
building experts. This is also a wonderful time to learn more about what
is offered in Iron County in the way of building options – and maybe
even a great time for you to select a builder for your next home. Let
them be involved as you “build your dreams”.
Lastly, I would like to thank the 2007 Parade of Homes Committee.
Without their hard work and effort this event would not be possible.
Thank you to the builders, home owners, and vendors who also contribute
in making this annual event a success. We know that only as a team is it
possible to pull off an event such as this. Thanks to all who have been
involved and we hope you will enjoy this year’s Parade!

President’s Message
Welcome to the Parade of Homes and thank you for being a part of this
special annual event. What a wonderful time to visit and tour Iron
County. Summer is coming to a close, the leaves are changing colors, the
county fair and fall harvest are upon us, and it’s time for this, our
wonderful flagship annual event.
Many years ago as a young building contractor, I was terribly excited
about the Parade of Homes. I jumped at the chance to have my first
entry---a small log home we built for an elderly Las Vegas woman, right
here in Cedar City. I remember the stress and the merciless and
immovable deadlines. The sacrifices that others made just to help me get
finished in time and make the project really shine. The Parade of Homes
is a heroic partnership effort made possible by many individuals and
companies: home designers, builders, sub-contractors, lending
institutions, title companies, real estate professionals, decorators,
family-members, material suppliers, landscapers, and many more.
In fact, these same companies and individuals that make the parade of
homes possible are the ones that
collectively contribute enormously to our local economy and community.
It’s hard to imagine our area without them. So, let me be the first to
say thank you.
Our parade of homes, perhaps more so than any other parade, is a unique
hybrid of luxury dream homes and more down-to-earth homes. But, don’t
judge the book by the cover or the home by the size or price tag. You’ll
see wonderful homes, ideas, and designs where you least expect it. I
always do. And with this year’s unique line up, I am confident you will
too.
In closing, allow me to specially thank our Parade Chairman, Cory Ellis,
and his entire committee for a job well done. I would also like to thank
our Executive Officer June Sewing as well as Lorna Cheney and staff
members. And without you, the visitor, the Parade of Homes would not be
possible. So, thank you and enjoy. We’ll see you next year—same time and
place---different homes!
